ISLAM AND ATHIESM: A Contemporary discourse

­­­There is an enigmatic power behind the creation of this universe. Every caste and religion believes in this. but, their beliefs on this mysterious power are dissimilar. Some believe lord invisibly and some are idol worshipers some believe in trinity. But, naturally the confusion and interrogation about the true belief will be aspired. These distractions on various beliefs made an occasion to the existence of atheism.  But Islam is very clear about the belief that Allah was the responsible for creation of this stunning universe. There are many references to it in holy Quran. Allah decided to create this entire universe because of his unlimited power and authority. Allah states in holy Quran “is he who created the heavens and the earth not able to create others like these people?”  (yaseen 36:81)

What is Atheism? Who is Atheist?

A person who disbelieves or lacks belief in the existence of god is called as atheist a great proverbs says “atheism is a religion like baldness is hair style” and this proverb includes sense of humour   to comprehend the futile of atheism. So, what are the laws and principles of Atheism? Atheist asserts progression and procession of world is self operating and as it is and nature plays mains role in functioning of universe. But, obviously the Holy Scripture Quran explains the existence of lord evidently in surah al ikhlas “say, he is god the one the sufficient one he doesn’t give birth nor he born and there is nothing like him” definitely, Allah is a patron and not a dependant. When we just investigate a seed a question will be aspired how do a seed formed…? And when we deeply examine and explore it the trueness and reliability of Quranic verses will be presumptive and probable. The ancient philosophers assert that the HAYULAمسر الجوهر))[Greek word] is the base of one and every creations ,organs, micro organs and components of this universe, while  Muslim philosophers and Sufis named the same base and same concise as “ALLAH” instead of Hayula (الهَيُولَى َباطِلٌ عِندَ  المُتَكَلِّمِينَ) a famous atheist Stephen hawking also affords the same concise on it. But, Allah is the one and only  god the absolute  creator of the universe its components and its law he the beginning ending of everything Holy scripture Quran is proof for  Allah existence and the nature also provides a great evidence for Allah’s existence .

Hence, the atheism laws and principles are fruitless. A great writer defines atheism that “the belief that there was nothing and nothing happens to nothing and then nothing magically exploded for no reason, creating everything and bench of everything magically rearranged itself for no reason”.

[QURANIC EVIDENCE ON ALLAH’S EXISTENCE]

• Allah emphatically questions,

ام خُلِقُوا مِن غَيرِ شَيئٌ ام هُم الخَالِقُون  

“or were they created by nothing or they the creators or did they create the heavens and earth..?Rather they aren’t certain (52:35)

•  It was god who raised the heavens with no support and then established himself on the throne, he has regulated the sun and the moon(13:2)

•  وَلَم يَتَّخِذ وَلَدًا وَلَم يَكُن لَهُ شَرِيكٌ فِى الُملكِ                                                                     

 “Sovereign of the heavens and the earth, who has begotten no children  and who has no partner in his sovereignty, it is he who has created all things and measured them out precisely”(25:2)

History of atheism       

Atheism the term was emerged in 16th century during the age of Enlightenment. The term Atheism was derived from the French word atheisme in 1587 and Greek philosopher “Diagoras” was known as first atheist [5th century BCE] and in early modern times, Mathias Knutzen (1646) was known as first Atheist .Greek and Roman philosophers such as Epicures,Democritus,Lucrtatis are first writers about Atheism. Presently, ALBANIA is the world’s first atheist country where the churches and mosques were snatched and turned into cinemas and dance halls. China and Sweden are top two countries with most Atheists. Maharashtra, Meghalaya and Kerala are the states with most atheists in India respectively (census 2011).Nowadays, Rationalist moment plays main role in subsistence of Atheism.

Islam v/s Atheism :

• Islam is a religion. While, Atheism is a not a religion.

• Islam is a religion that believes in god. Atheism is a concept that lacks belief in god.

• Atheism questions in presence of god. but, Islam believes in opposite.

• The word Islam was originated from Arabic word salaam [peace]. The Atheism word was originated from Greek word atheo [ without god ]

• Islam concepts are based on faith. Where Atheism concepts are based on science and truth.                                                         (To be continued.....)
